Meet The Team

John Hollingsworth FCA – Partner

John trained and qualified in 1983 with an international firm of chartered accountants. John established Hollingsworth & Co in 1989. His philosophy has always been to work directly with clients on a one to one basis, providing them with financial, tax and business advice. John specialises in business advisory services, including strategic planning, profit improvement and key performance indicators.

Michelle Martin FCCA – Partner

Michelle joined Hollingsworth and Co in 2000 as a Trainee Accountant and qualified in February 2004 as a Chartered Certified Accountant. She became Client Manager in 2008 and then progressed and was appointed as a partner of the firm in October 2018. Michelle works directly with her clients and provides an all-round service. Michelle also is responsible for the personal tax service within the practice.

Lynn Fellows FCCA – Client Manager

Lynn joined Hollingsworth & Co in 1997 as a qualified Accounting Technician. She continued her training with the firm and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2005. Lynn’s role as client manager involves her working directly with a range of clients from sole traders to limited companies. Lynn is also responsible for the day to day running of the practice and its team.

Louise Walker ACCA – Accounts & Tax Senior

Louise is now studying towards her CTA Chartered Tax Advisory qualification. Louise started with Hollingsworth & Co in 2012 as a Trainee Accountant and qualified AAT in 2015. She then continued on to her professional qualifications and became a Certified Chartered Accountant in 2019 and now holds the position of Accounts & Tax Senior. Louise is responsible for preparing year end and management accounts for a wide range of clients and is now working very closely with Michelle to develop her taxation skills and experience to assist with the taxation services provided by the practice.

Sam Stock – Payroll Manager

Sam joined Hollingsworth & Co in January 2018 within the payroll department of the practice. Sam has over 15 years of experience in Payroll and HR and is now managing the Payroll service for the practice. Sam is responsible for all clients’ payroll requirements and handles all payroll enquiries on a day to day basis.

Sasha Hollingsworth – Trainee Accountant

After leaving university, Sasha joined Hollingsworth & Co in 2015. Sasha commenced her training and obtained her AAT qualification in 2018. She has now continued on to her professional qualifications and is currently studying towards becoming a Chartered Accountant. Sasha is involved heavily with the VAT and Book-keeping service we provide and continuously helps clients make the transition with Making Tax Digital regulations. Sasha is also responsible for preparing year-end and management accounts and developing her accounting skills.

Johnathan Callister - Hollingsworth and Co

Jonathan Callister – Trainee Accountant

Jonathan joined Hollingsworth & Co in July 2021 and has settled in the office wonderfully. Jonathan is currently studying towards his ACCA qualification and hopes to qualify in 2024. Jonathan is involved in the accounts production side of the practice and is responsible for preparing year-end and management accounts for a wide range of clients. Jonathan also is starting to take responsibility for the Statutory requirements needed by clients and assisting clients on various matters.

Holly Beacham - Hollingsworth and Co

Holly Beacham – Trainee Accountant

Holly started with Hollingsworth and Co in March 2019 as an accounts apprentice studying locally for her AAT qualification which she successfully gained in 2021. She is now currently studying towards her ACCA qualification. Holly assists in our Book-keeping and VAT department and has grasped the various accounting software’s extremely well and helps to train clients on these softwares. Holly now works within the accounts preparation team and is developing her skills in year-end and management accounting.

Gemma Jones – Trainee Accountant

Gemma commenced her training with us in October 2018 as an apprentice. She is now studying towards her final AAT exams and hopes to continue on to her professional exams thereafter. Gemma is gaining experience by working mainly in our VAT and Book-keeping team which will enable her to broaden her knowledge to assist her in her career going forward.

Alex Pugh - Hollingsworth and Co

Alex Pugh – Accounts Apprentice

Alex started with Hollingsworth and Co in August 2020 as an accounts apprentice studying locally for her AAT qualification. She is currently studying towards her next set of examinations and she hopes to achieve her Level 3 early 2023. Alex assists in our Book-keeping and VAT department and has grasped the various accounting software’s extremely well.

Samia Haseeb - Hollingsworth and Co

Samia Haseeb – Accounts Apprentice

Samia joined the team in June 2021 as an accounts apprentice. Samia had already completed and achieved her AAT Level 2 and 3 in her own time and is now studying and working hard towards her AAT Level 4 qualification with ourselves. Samia hopefully will achieve her AAT Qualification via the apprenticeship scheme early in 2023. Samia is now been working within a practice environment and using skills she has learnt from her AAT Level 2 and 3 courses and developing her knowledge. Samia assists in our Book-keeping and VAT department and will be moving on to year-end and management accounting very soon.

Yvette Wheeler – Hollingsworth and Co

Yvette Wheeler – Receptionist and Office Administrator

Yvette started with Hollingsworth and Co in November 2021. Yvette takes cares of the administration and housekeeping side of the practice and controls our main switchboard. Yvette also assists Lynn Fellows with the compliance responsibilities side of the practice, such as Anti Money Laundering and client engagement procedures. Yvette has settled in wonderfully and has become a very valued member of the team.
